ALMA education:https://www.almaeducation.se/ is a Swedish scriptwriter school. For their graduation this year the final assignment was to write their own TED:talks.
We got assigned to create a book that included information about the school, profiles of the graduating students as well as the students texts. In all, me and my group partner Leon did the book cover, the layout, images plus illustrations and also the printing and sewing process.

ALMA didn't have any clear branding, so our first goal was to create some clear guidelines for the brand that we could use as a base to build the book upon. We wanted to have something modern and minimalistic in line with brands as Brobygrafiska, Moderna Museet and Fotografiska. We wanted the identity of the book to be recognizable but not to overtake the focus from the authors texts. The book itself needed it's own flare and to feel niched towards authors and media producers.
We researched the industry to find some good reference (see down below), that we could use to make the book more unique.
